Hippie Daze

Some notes on things that happened to me during my hippie period which is really still going on. Never left me. I was remembering hitch hiking to California with my friend Jerry, his dog Sam ( Samoyed ) and less than a dollar between us. Oh yeah, one sleeping bag and it was in January. We left from Denver at Speer and I-25 during the day. Our first ride started there and took us to Idaho Springs. From there we got another ride to Santa Barbara, CA. Our driver had a bag of pot and we smoked most of the way well into the evening. It's a wonder he stayed awake enough to drive. We spent the night in Santa Barbara in the rain before getting a ride to our destination which was San Francisco where my good friend Dan lived with his girlfriend Wendy.

My next blog will be about the trip back which was a little more exciting.
